Floor Preparation​

For existing wooden floors, Nortons Floorsanding can prep the floors for you: sand, punch nails, fill holes. The timber is then ready for Nortons to sand and refinish (e.g. with polyurethane), or for you to refinish if you wish. Nortons can also prepare floors for new timber flooring or other floor coverings, such as vinyl or carpet (though refinishing wooden floors costs less than new carpet!).

Uplift & Disposal of Floor Coverings

If you need existing floor coverings lifted and taken away (e.g. carpet, vinyl, bitumen tiles), we can recommend contractors to take care of that for you.

Your Health & Safety

Nortons Floorsanding keeps disruption to an absolute minimum and the amount of dust created by our skilled floor sanders is far less than people expect. However, to allow finishes to dry safely (particularly polyurethane) residents/staff/other tradespeople, may need to vacate the property (more likely if Nortons is coating floors in multiple rooms/a large area).
